Let's dive into how you can switch to the latest tech and unlock a new level of flexibility.
Before You Begin
For large catalogs, an API-based approach is recommended for making changes. If minimal downtime is essential, consider using the environment for testing, and then just migrate in minutes.
Creating a CSV copy of your current product information and backing up your image files is wise to ensure a smooth transition. These safeguards can be a lifesaver if anything goes awry during migration.
One important note: If your intended CSV file for import exceeds 20MB in size or contains more than 10,000 products, it might be necessary to break it into smaller, individual CSV files.

Stay Tuned for Guidance
In the following chapters, we'll provide step-by-step instructions on addressing these issues, exporting a CSV, making the necessary data changes to ensure compatibility with the latest tech, and re-importing your data.
Remember that making these adjustments will temporarily leave your products in an incomplete state on your storefront, so it's a good idea to put your store into maintenance mode until you've completed the migration and reapplied these product attributes.
We're excited to help you leap the latest tech Product Experience with Ordering.co. Your journey to an enhanced online ordering platform begins here.
CSV Import/Export Method (for Handling Many Products)
Stay Tuned for Guidance
Start by exporting your products using the Bulk Edit template. If you're using ShipperHQ, you may need to create a custom export template that includes specific ShipperHQ columns, such as Shipping Groups, Origin Locations, and Dimensional Rules.
Create a Backup:
Make a copy of your exported CSV file and keep it for your records. This backup ensures a safety net if anything goes wrong during the process.
Remove Unnecessary Data:
Within your working CSV file, swiftly remove all SKU and Rule rows by utilizing the "Filter" feature on the Item Type column.
Prepare for Minimal Data Loss:
To minimize the risk of product data loss, retain only the following columns in your working CSV file:
Item Type
Product ID
Product Name
Option Set
Category
GPS Enabled
Disassociate Option Sets:
In the Option Set column, change all option sets to the same name, such as "temp," which is not an existing option in your catalog. This action effectively disassociates products from existing option sets.
Disable GPS Enabled:
In the GPS Enabled column, set all products to "N."
Save Your Updated CSV:
Save the updated CSV file with a unique name for easy future reference.
Reimporting Your Products:
Begin the import process using the edited CSV file and select the Bulk Edit re-import option.
Uncheck "Ignore blank values during import," a setting typically not recommended during product updates but essential for this process to remove option set data cleanly.
After completing the import, verify that all option sets have been successfully removed from your products.
If everything goes as planned, you should see the banner to upgrade to the latest tech.
Cleaning Up:
Delete the "temp" option set if used during the disassociation process.
You can manually recreate product options and variants post-migration, utilizing shared variant options and modifier options. Alternatively, you can use the bulk reassignment method outlined below.
Restoring Options:
Create another copy of the CSV file used to remove option sets and name it "restore-options.csv."
Make the following changes to the file:
Remove Product ID values from the SKU/Rule rows only.
Keep Product ID values for Product rows unchanged.
Retain the Option Set names.
Save the CSV file, and then reimport it. Check your products to ensure that all options and functionality have been restored.
Save the information for later review for any errors encountered during the import.
The Control Panel Method (for a Few Products)
If you need to remove option sets individually from a few products, you can do so via the control panel:
Edit the product:
Navigate to the Options & SKUs tab.
In the Option Set dropdown menu, select "(None)" to remove existing product options and variants from the product.
Preparing Your Business for the latest tech.
Now that you've successfully removed option sets and addressed GPS-enabled fields, you're on your way to transitioning to the latest tech with Ordering.co. Get ready to experience the future of online ordering with a fresh and improved product environment!
